The regeneration will secure the future of the town for all generations.

Through a proposal which respects the historic and architectural heritage of Wokingham, the Town Centre regeneration will support existing and new businesses; increase employment, secure ongoing investment into the town centre and improve the quality of the open space within the town centre.

The development proposal will be produced in line with the adopted
Wokingham Town Centre Masterplan.

"We have now signed Premier Inn as the hotel operator for the regeneration project.  This is a significant step forward for the project, highlighting the confidence which the private sector has both in Wokingham and in the plans themselves.  Having a hotel in the town centre is a core part of the overall plans for the future of Wokingham, recognising both the growing population and the need for innovation and diversity to continue to attract both footfall and investment over the long term.  The 80 bedroom hotel will bring around £5m into the regeneration project."

"The Peach Place refurbishment project will get underway soon.  The planning application for the second phase of the regeneration project will be submitted later this year."
